Territory Manager, Mid-Atlantic USA | Foodservice Sales

Working closely with the Region Manager, Director of National Sales and VP of Foodservice, you will be a key member of the company’s Foodservice strategic team and will be primarily responsible for achieving customer acquisition, customer retention, and revenue/profit goals for the assigned Territory of the Foodservice Channel. You will be an impact player and will have an immense ability to help develop the company’s long-term strategy; influence the corporate culture and have the opportunity for accelerated career growth.

They will be aggressive and have a strong track record of growth/success and a thorough understanding of, and relationships with, major Foodservice Distribution and Key Account Channels throughout their assigned region in the US marketplace. Primary Responsibilities

• Execute sales strategies to drive volume and profitability through increased account penetration, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the foodservice sector.
• Support Region Manager and broker partner team to drive incremental sales and grow foodservice distribution via product sales trainings, foodshows, direct customer engagement.
• Work closely with internal FGF team to drive Foodservice marketing strategies & initiatives to profitably build the brand.
• Plan, budget and track sales within territory.
• Secure new points of distribution within FGF portfolio driven by operator demand and FGF initiatives.
• Maintain and grow relationships within existing customer accounts/channels by ensuring regular follow-up, timely delivery of products or services, and resolution of any issues or concerns.
• Work closely with broker partner team in executing major initiatives to include compliance and new product placements within the awarded categories.

Education & Experience

• Experience with and/or a passion for Value Added Branded Food productsa must.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales/sales experience in the Foodservice channel.
• Culinary experience/passion is a plus!
• Experienced conducting sales presentations to customers in the Distribution Channel.
• Must possess key competencies including strategic vision and analytical skills enhanced by intuitive consumer insight and full Microsoft Office competence (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to execute an effective sales, pricing, and distribution strategy; develops plans to support the strategy; ensure execution of plans.
• Experienced in building effective alliances with marketing and all other internal resource departments within the customer organization.
• Entrepreneurial, innovative DNA with excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). Must be a “risk taker” that is never satisfied with the status quo.
• Must be willing to embrace speed, change and uncertainty.
• Travel: Overnight Travel is expected to be approx. 30%
• University degree preferred. Candidates with equivalent business experience will be considered.
