The Territory Representative serves as a key driver of business development and customer relationship management within an assigned territory, supporting the company’s mission of delivering high-quality asphalt solutions to municipalities, counties and state entities. This position is responsible for expanding market presence through strategic sales initiatives, direct customer engagement and relationship-building with both prospective and existing clients while developing and executing territory plans that support long-term business growth. The Territory Representative identifies new business opportunities through networking, trade shows and community engagement, maintains accurate sales and prospecting activity within the company CRM system and collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational success. This role requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays and schedule flexibility to accommodate customer needs. The ideal candidate brings strong communication and interpersonal skills, a disciplined and self-motivated work ethic and a genuine passion for helping others while contributing to a family-oriented organization committed to quality, service and community impact.

Working Hours – Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST.  Employees are expected to be working based on their location and time-zone.  Scheduling will remain flexible based on appointments, meetings and travel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships with new contacts and prospective clients.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields of study include Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications or other related disciplines.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic, competitive drive and commitment to achieving goals and delivering results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively across diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and other technology platforms utilized for communication, organization and productivity.
  • Valid Driver License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check is required.
Typical Duties
  • Develops and expands customer relationships by promoting and selling asphalt products and solutions to municipalities and commercial clients within the assigned territory.
  • Travels regularly throughout the assigned territory to meet with prospective and existing customers; conducts site visits and supports ongoing client relationships.
  • Maintains flexibility to travel overnight and outside of standard business hours as needed to accommodate customer schedules, industry events and project demands.
  • Creates and implements strategic territory plans to support business growth, increase market presence and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, relationship-building and participation in trade shows, industry events and community engagement opportunities.
  • Maintains and strengthens long-term relationships with existing customers while actively developing newer accounts increasing customer retention and revenue growth.
  • Accurately documents customer interactions, sales activity, project updates and pipeline opportunities within company CRM system.
  • Supports customers by providing product recommendations, technical information and responsive follow-up throughout sales process.
  • Prepares sales presentations, proposals, pricing information and territory activity reports for management review.
  • Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
