    Job Description

Imagine Your Day Driving Growth Across an Industrial Territory

You start the morning reviewing Salesforce activities, mapping out customer visits across your territory. By mid-morning, you’re walking a customer’s facility, uncovering fleet service needs and crafting a tailored rental or used-equipment solution. After lunch, you huddle with a Branch Manager to align priorities, loop in a product specialist to finalize a quote, and log your progress in BI and SAP to keep metrics on track. You finish the day following up on warm leads, re-engaging a dormant account, and preparing insights for your monthly sales meeting.

    What You’ll Tackle

    • Drive revenue across Service, Rental, Used Equipment, and allied solutions with a primary focus on reaching a wide set of existing customers and new prospects in an outside sales capacity.
    • Own the process from discovery and quoting through contract or sale; create accurate Service, Rental, Used, and related quotes.
    • Coordinate seamlessly with Branch Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Sales Account Managers, and internal experts to accelerate deals.
    • Partner with Marketing and Inside Sales to expand your prospecting reach across the territory.
    • Travel daily to customer sites, responding quickly to inquiries and delivering exceptional service throughout the sales and after-sales journey.
    • Grow the customer base via business directories, research, referrals, dormant account lists, cold calls, and company resources, leveraging Salesforce data along the way.
    • Maintain a robust territory database; conduct in-person meetings; rekindle interest with inactive customers.
    • Apply pricing matrices and discounting rules effectively to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Service existing accounts by understanding operational needs and recommending material handling and warehouse solutions that fit.
    • Monitor market trends, customer demand, and competitor moves to adjust strategies and generate new leads.

    How You’ll Win

    • Manage a clear pipeline of opportunities and activity within your assigned territory.
    • Use Salesforce daily to log calls, tasks, meetings, and opportunities for precise follow-up.
    • Prepare periodic performance reports and leverage Business Intelligence & SAP reports to drive action.

    About You

    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2+ years of sales experience/training in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
    • Proven inside or outside sales success with a track record of exceeding quota.
    • Strong phone presence; comfortable making dozens of calls per day and booking on-site meetings.
    • Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and customer service skills; adept at conveying value-added solutions at all levels.
    • Highly organized, able to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
    • Functional understanding of material handling equipment and a passion for learning product specs and capabilities.
    • Driving is essential; you maintain a current, valid driver’s license.

Product Knowledge: You keep up with equipment specifications and performance so you can match customers with the best options.

    Tools & Technology

    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) proficiency; willingness to learn Salesforce, Power BI, SAP/FIORI, and ServiceMax.
    • Exposure to material handling systems (Swisslog, Hyster, Hytrol, Jungheinrich, Eisenmann, Riantics, Alba), cranes (Liebherr, Manitowoc, Konecranes, Demag, Tadano, SANY, Terex), overhead cranes, forklifts (Hyster, Yale, Jungheinrich, Raymond, Crown), and MHE.
