This execution-focused, early-career role is responsible for progressing opportunities from initial assignment through award and handoff to Project Management. The TSR works closely with Business Development, estimating, engineering, and project teams to ensure opportunities are well-positioned for success. This role is highly relational and field-oriented, requiring frequent site engagement, strong follow-through, and a disciplined approach to sales processes and CRM management. The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and proactive individual looking to build a career in industrial sales.

Key Responsibilities

Territory & Opportunity Management

  • Advance assigned sales opportunities through the pipeline from initial engagement to award and handoff to Project Management.
  • Act as the primary sales contact for opportunities assigned by the Business Development Manager.
  • Improve bid-to-award conversion rates through consistent follow-up, communication, and relationship building.
  • Maintain regular client touchpoints to ensure visibility, responsiveness, and competitiveness.
  • Develop relationships within client facilities, including maintenance and operations personnel.

Sales Outreach & Market Development

  • Conduct proactive outreach, including cold calling and re-engagement of dormant accounts, to generate new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships across industrial markets relevant to cooling towers, EPC scopes, and related services.
  • Monitor market activity and identify potential opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Participate in trade associations, networking events, site visits, and industry engagements to expand market presence.

Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and technical teams to support proposal development and ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Facilitate communication across internal stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality proposal submissions.
  • Manage pre-award requirements to ensure opportunities are “project-ready” upon award.
  • Support seamless transition of awarded work to Project Management teams.

Pipeline Reporting & Process Discipline

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including activity tracking, opportunity stages, and follow-up cadence.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates, forecasts, and territory insights to the Director of Sales.
  • Support continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Demonstrate disciplined organization and prioritization across multiple active opportunities.]

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or related industrial services roles.
  • Post-secondary education in Industrial Distribution, Construction Management, Engineering, Process Technology, or Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Exposure to construction, industrial services, cooling towers, or EPC environments considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
