Overview:

This position will be located in Bentonville/Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The RFID Lab at Auburn University is looking for motivated, hard-working, and detail-oriented employee from various disciplines to perform RFID in-store testing and audits. This position will primarily involve fieldwork at partner locations. Fieldwork includes activities such as: RFID tag audits, barcode audits, RFID cycle counts.

 

Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being: 
 
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time 
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads 
  • Assistance with special projects 
  • Seasonal work 
  • Emergencies

Responsibilities:

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Perform data collection tests to investigate the performance of large-scale RFID deployments.
  • RFID tagging items in a retail environment and then doing tests with a RFID reader to determine the quality and readability of the tags.
  • Perform in-store barcode/inventory audits.
  • May occasionally participate in in-lab demonstrations and testing
  • Occasionally travel to partner locations outside of the Bentonville/Fayetteville area.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: USD $15.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
