State of AZ is looking for a "Test Data Masking Engineer. This is a contract position (initially 6 months) with extensions likely. The full job description is below.
Role Description:
Determines which data needs masking and defines masking policies
Develops and implements data masking procedures within data pipelines
Data discovery and classification: Identifying sensitive data across systems and classifying it based on privacy regulations.
Masking rule definition: Creating specific masking rules for different data types like names, addresses, drug/medication details, etc.
Masking technique selection: Choosing appropriate masking techniques like substitution, shuffling, or generalization depending on data sensitivity and usage needs.
Masking implementation: Applying masking rules to sensitive data in Mainframe database via K2View application, and possible data exports.
Masking validation: Verifying that masked data maintains data integrity while effectively obscuring sensitive information.
Monitoring and auditing: Continuously monitoring data masking processes and auditing masking activities for compliance.
Data masking is a method to protect sensitive information by replacing real data with realistic, but fake, substitutes, using a patented business entity approach
