Test Driver (Phoenix, Arizona)
Seeking a hardworking, detail oriented, and team contributing test driver for 1st or 2nd shift on behalf of a tier one automotive testing program based out of a test center in Deer Valley, Arizona. All applicants must meet the minimum criteria below.
Job Summary:
The test driver will operate pre-production vehicles as part of a team on predominantly public roads while performing a full vehicle evaluation for each drive cycle. The test driver will be responsible for identifying any issues in relation to the powertrain, quality of build, functionality and design of vehicle systems, and any other vehicle related items.
Job Responsibilities:
Complete a full vehicle evaluation, complete a clear and concise report, and any other records for each vehicle during assigned shift.
Drive in small groups on designated routes for 8 10 hour shifts while performing test procedures.
Participate in all vehicle testing including but not limited to driving of foreign specification vehicles and designated special tests.
Operate vehicles in an extremely safe manner, obeying all laws of the road.
Maintain safety and security procedures.
Must be comfortable driving at higher elevations and in inclement weather.
Compensation:
Drivers will earn REG $16.00/hr and OT $24.00/hr
Position is part time as does NOT offer benefits.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid USA drivers license for a minimum of 9 years. Have no traffic citations or accidents for the past 3 years. No DUI or DWAI convictions.
Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and lift at least 25 pounds.
Be able to travel outside of state limits.
Availability of 2 5 days per week Monday - Friday.
Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time, from 8 miles to 600 miles per shift.
Communicate detailed findings verbally and written.
Follow directions and execute tasks.
Be reliable and maintain good attendance.
Complete required trainings.
Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment.
