Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead and modernize a manufacturing test engineering environment supporting electronic assemblies and systems. This is a direct hire opportunity requiring a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Test Engineers supporting manufacturing operations
  • Develop and drive overall manufacturing test strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Evaluate existing testing environments and recommend process, equipment, and methodology improvements
  • Perform test coverage analysis and identify gaps in validation and production testing
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of manufacturing test solutions for electronic products and assemblies
  • Support and guide teams responsible for test specifications and test solution development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operations teams
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and testing requirements
  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production test issues
  • Travel up to 25% as needed, including occasional overnight travel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • MBA, Engineering Management, or Technical Master’s Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing test engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or people management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of LabVIEW and automated test environments
  • Experience with manufacturing test methods including ICT, functional testing, boundary scan, and environmental stress screening
  • Knowledge of test validation methodologies and statistical analysis tools
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, ISO, ANSI, JEDEC, or similar
  • Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
