seeking two Contract Test Engineers to support validation efforts on an embedded medical device product. These individuals will be responsible for developing and executing test scripts used to verify firmware and hardware integration at the MCU/circuit board level.
This is a highly hands-on engineering environment, and candidates must be willing to work onsite in Portage, MI 4-5 days per week. The role involves physical fixture builds and hardware interaction, making remote work unavailable.
Develop, modify, and execute test scripts to validate embedded hardware and firmware functionality
Perform system-level testing on MCU and circuit board-based products
Troubleshoot and debug hardware/software integration issues
Work closely with engineering teams to identify and resolve defects
Analyze existing test frameworks and improve test coverage where necessary
Read, maintain, or potentially rewrite legacy test scripts in Python
Support fixture setup and execution of test activities in a lab environment
