Job Summary Test Engineer II will assist the Engineering Manager to execute technical product testing for production and product development. This individual will act as an engineering liaison with product design engineers to ensure adequate test processes and coverage to facilitate product development. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities • Directs activities for Test Engineering functions to meet the testing needs of the development and manufacturing engineering teams and competitive analyses required from the commercial organization. • Develops testing strategies and implements standard testing protocols, fixturing, and test platforms • Develops methodologies to automate repeated testing to maximize use of resources and throughput through the test lab • Works closely with development engineering, product marketing, and other internal customers to set test priorities and set test schedules. • Conducts testing and analysis as required with the test engineering team to meet timelines as agreed upon by schedule • Reviews results and analysis by test engineering staff to ensure validity, accuracy, and quality • Ensures processes and procedures are implemented and monitored to secure regulatory compliance • Makes certain that testing and related analysis are documented in test database • Participates in development design reviews to understand and develop tests to validate product requirements • Manages equipment and supplies utilized in the engineering laboratory and maintains a safe and orderly test facility • Works with manager to set annual budget for supplies, external testing, and capital equipment • Performs test development and support activities as required • All other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3-5 years related experience • Demonstrated experience with manual & computer controlled test equipment • Experience leading a small team of technicians/engineers • Programming experience with National Instruments TestStand and/or LabVIEW • Solid understanding of electronic and mechanical design principles • Familiarity with CAD software • Strong understanding of a wide range of measurement techniques and equipment to characterize physical properties and performance of equipment. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Project Management • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Detail oriented, dependable and willing to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Successful communication skills (written & verbal), business acumen and assertive decision-making ability Preferred Skills and Abilities • Experience with fluid management or deposition systems • Familiarity with PCAD and SolidWorks a plus Working Conditions and Physical Demands Mixed environment of office, laboratory & manufacturing.
