Test Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Engineer in Orlando, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on system integration and testing of complex hardware and software systems, including electro-optic sensor platforms used in military applications.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of experience in software development (C, C++, LabVIEW preferred)
• 4–6 years of experience in a production environment
• 6+ years of experience in test equipment design
• 6+ years of experience in electronic testing
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical testing
• Strong understanding of system integration and test processes
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software interface issues

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LabVIEW / LabWindows CVI and National Instruments (NI) systems
• Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) development and integration
• Experience with PXI/VXI systems, switching hardware, and test automation
• Experience working in high-volume production environments
• Experience supporting electro-optic systems or similar technologies

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute system-level test plans, procedures, and schedules
• Integrate and test hardware and software components across subsystems
• Analyze test results and generate detailed evaluation reports
• Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues
• Support regression testing to validate fixes and system performance
• Define system requirements, interfaces, and testability criteria
• Collaborate with engineering and program teams to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives
• Support development and maintenance of automated test systems

• Fully onsite in Orlando, FL
• Safety shoes required
