Test Repair Tech

Job Title

Position Summary: Responsible for repairing faults in finished products by following detailed instructions based on prior diagnostics and analysis completed by the test technician. This role ensures all products meet quality and performance standards before release.

KeyResponsibilities

• Perform preliminary analysis of products to identify defects, faults, or performance issues.
• Diagnose and repair faults found in finished products in accordance with established procedures.
• Document all repairs performed, including root causes, corrective actions, and parts used.
• Verify product functionality after repairs to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
• Communicate recurring issues or complex faults to the test technician or supervisor for further evaluation.

• Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and within the required timeframes.
• Consistently meet daily repair productivity and quality standards.
• Perform precise and thorough pre-analysis to support correct fault identification.
• Follow all repair procedures and instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain organized work processes and uphold quality control expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or technical certifications are a plus. Education level may be substituted with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mechatronics; 2 years preferred.
• NOM-022-STPS-2008/ANSI-ESD S20.20:2014 (Basic), RBA:2021 / SA8000:2014 Business Alliance

• Strong willingness to learn and continuously develop technical expertise.
• Basic office and computer skills for accurate reporting and documentation.
• Highly committed, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent attention to detail and dedication to maintaining quality standards.

Training (Licenses, Programs, Certificates)

• NOM-022-STPS-2008 / ANSI-ESD S20.20:2014 (Basic) – Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety standards.
• RBA:2021 / SA8000:2014 – Social Accountability and Business Alliance compliance.
• Responsible (Basic) – Workplace responsibility and ethics.
• Security Awareness – Information security protocols and best practices.
• Safe Use of Social Networks / Social Media Awareness – Guidelines for professional and secure social media use.
• Cultural Diversity Awareness – Promoting inclusivity and understanding in the workplace.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in using voltmeters and other electronic measurement systems.
• Skilled in handling and operating soldering irons and heat guns.
• Ability to perform precise electronic component repairs and rework.
• Strong understanding of basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
