Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Test Systems Technical Lead Engineer - Cleared On-Site MAT Ra,p to join our Client's team.


Project Overview:

The Test Equipment organization provides critical engineering services across multiple product lines, supporting the design, integration, and deployment of test systems used for development, verification, and delivery of weapon system products. The team works hands on in lab environments to develop and maintain test capabilities that enable successful execution across the engineering lifecycle.


Position Overview

The Test Systems Execution Lead Engineer oversees technical execution for test system development, working closely with program leadership to establish and meet milestones. This role leads multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinates system requirements, and ensures test environments are delivered, integrated, and maintained effectively in support of test and tactical software development.


Key deliverables for this role

Lead technical execution of program tasks and ensure alignment with program milestones

Define system requirements and approve changes through established review boards

Deliver integrated test solutions aligned with program needs, cost, and schedule targets

Provide leadership, guidance, and task delegation across a multidisciplinary team

Support presentations, reviews, and customer interactions throughout development

Success means delivering reliable, well integrated test systems on schedule, effectively leading cross functional teams, and maintaining strong alignment with program objectives throughout development and deployment.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

Years of Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience

Requirements:

  • Experience with the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering or equivalent engineering experience involving:
    • Hardware development
    • Test software development
    • Integration
    • Verification
    • Validation
  • Maintenance activities within:
      • Production environments
      • Manufacturing environments
    • Product qualification environments
  • Experience with the design, development, and/or integration of test equipment

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have):

  • Strong organizational, coordination, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with:
    • Windows operating systems
    • Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of:
    • Test equipment
    • Rack and cable assembly
    • Common electronic measurement tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems using:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Analyzers
    • Data acquisition tools
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working within Agile processes, including:
    • Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
    • Gate reviews

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Program Manager/IPTL and report team status metrics
  • Lead engineering team activities and oversee technical decision-making
  • Review and approve system changes through Change Control Boards (CCBs) and participate in Failure Review Boards (FRBs) as required
  • Support system integration and deployment activities

Tools / Technologies Required:

  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Microsoft Project
