Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Test Systems Technical Lead Engineer in Tucson, AZ for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Test Systems Technical Lead Engineer will oversee the technical execution of test-system development supporting advanced missile programs. This role leads multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinates system requirements, manages technical decisions, and ensures integrated test environments are delivered and maintained according to program cost, schedule, and performance requirements.

Required Skills

" Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
" 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
" U.S. citizenship required.
" Active Secret security clearance required on the first day of employment.
" Test Systems Engineering or equivalent engineering experience involving hardware and test-software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance.
" Experience supporting test systems within production, manufacturing, or product-qualification environments.
" Experience designing, developing, or integrating test equipment.
" Experience leading technical execution and coordinating engineering activities.
" Ability to define system requirements and manage changes through formal review processes.
" Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems.
" Microsoft Project experience.
" Ability to work 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Preferred Skills

" Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
" Windows and Linux operating-system experience.
" Knowledge of test equipment, rack assemblies, cable assemblies, and electronic measurement tools.
" Experience troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, analyzers, data-acquisition systems, or related instruments.
" Agile development experience.
" Experience with EVMS, gate reviews, Configuration Control Boards, or Failure Review Boards.
" Strong organizational, communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

What You'll Do

" Lead technical execution of test-system development activities.
" Coordinate with program leadership to establish and meet milestones.
" Define system requirements and approve technical changes.
" Deliver integrated test solutions that meet program cost and schedule objectives.
" Provide technical leadership, guidance, and task delegation across engineering disciplines.
" Coordinate with program managers and technical leads and report team status metrics.
" Oversee engineering decisions, system integration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
" Review system changes through established control boards.
" Participate in technical reviews, presentations, and customer interactions.
" Support development and maintenance of test environments for test and tactical software.

Work Schedule / Shift

" 1st shift.
" 9/80A schedule.
" 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ.
" Domestic travel required.

Pay

" $137.26 per hour
