PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Technician in Chelmsford, MA for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Test Technician will perform electrical and RF testing on production systems, subassemblies, and circuit boards using manual and automated test equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, basic troubleshooting ability, and the ability to follow work instructions and test plans in a fast-paced electronics production environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills, including ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
- Ability to perform electrical and RF testing on systems, subassemblies, and circuit boards.
- Ability to use manual and automated test equipment.
- Ability to work from process instructions, work instructions, and test plans.
- Ability to use measuring instruments and electronic test equipment.
- Ability to document accurate test data and results.
- Basic troubleshooting and retesting experience with electronic assemblies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
Preferred Skills
- Electrical or microelectronics experience.
- Knowledge of ESD procedures.
- Experience with electronic test equipment.
- Experience working with production, quality, or engineering teams.
- Interest in growing in a hands-on electronics testing role.
What You’ll Do
- Perform electrical and RF testing on systems, subassemblies, and circuit boards.
- Use manual and automated test equipment to verify product quality.
- Follow work instructions and test plans.
- Document test results in databases and generate reports as needed.
- Troubleshoot and retest electronic assemblies.
- Support production, quality, and engineering teams to improve throughput and test processes.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Day shift, full-time.
- Monday–Thursday.
- 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Overtime possible.
