Position Summary:\n \nThe Systems Test Technician reports directly to the Test Operations Manager. The Systems Test Technician may perform a variety of tasks in accordance with their training, experience, and skill.\n \nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\n \nExecutes functional test\n \nTypically does not involve PCBA debug but failure diagnosis down to the submodule level required.\n \nAbility to trace/diagnose complex cabling/wiring and correct mis-wires\n \nWork in cleanroom environment.\n \nPerforms repair work as needed\n \nAbility to Troubleshoot or identify errors in systems level test programs preferred\n \nSupport production as needed.\n \nInterface and support internal customers (production, quality, engineering, etc.)\n \nFollows all health and safety policies at all times.\n \nOperates Test equipment to include multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.\n \nSupports a Quality Management system including conformance to ISO based registrations and controls for the facility business plan based upon targeted market sectors.\n \nPossess good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to individuals from multi-cultural backgrounds, and build trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results, at all levels within the organization.\n \nPossess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.\n \nMust be self-directed, dependable, and motivated with excellent relationship and time management skills.\n \nSupporting Lean, Six Sigma, and/or other related processes for continuous improvement of critical operational metrics across key functions.\n \nPreparing activity reports and other data input as required.\n \nMaintaining courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.\n \nDevelop and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and representatives of external organizations. \n \nTo communicate information and state problems or challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner and be able to provide clarification, as necessary.\n \nPerforming related duties as assigned (Related duties as assigned are duties that may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but are within the general occupational series and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's class of work.)\n \nInternational travel may be required\n \nQualifications Required/Job Specifications:\n \nHigh School Diploma or GED required. Technical school degree preferred.\n \nAbility to read, and interpret engineering instructions, schematics, technical procedures, and various reports\n \nExperience testing medium to large scale multi-module systems used in the semiconductor business sector preferred\n \nExperience testing medium to large scale multi-module systems used in the telecom business sector a plus\n \nExperience supporting Quality Management Systems (ISO) and Customer Satisfaction \n \nProficient with PC-based software including Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. \n \nPrevious experience in EMS contract manufacturing environment preferred\n \nStrong, effective organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitask\n \nPossess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form\n \nAbility to keep accurate documentation\n \nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees;\n \nAbility to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry\n \nAbility to use common sense to solve practical problems\n \nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form\n \nMaintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization\n \nPossess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information\n \nAvailable to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
