Join our team in North Haven, CT, where you will be part of an innovative company that values technical support and development. We are looking for dedicated individuals to fill positions for both 1st and 2nd shifts. 1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm 2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm Responsibilities Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences. Lay out and assemble units for production equipment according to designs and specifications. Adjust and calibrate systems as needed. Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. Use hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Technician Support Career Stream Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development. Use schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems. Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established formulae and procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes. Differentiating Factors Autonomy: Entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior experience in technical aspects of a job. Work is clearly defined, routine, or follows standard procedures and is closely supervised. Performs basic tests and records data. Organizational Impact: Performs basic technical activities and records data. Delivers job responsibilities following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Innovation and Complexity: Responsible for checking data and technical information when minor changes may be required based on review. Technical problems faced are routine and solutions clearly prescribed. Communication and Influence: Communicates with contacts typically within the immediate job area. Obtains and provides technical information requiring little explanation or interpretation. Leadership and Talent Management: N/A. Jobs at this level are focused on self-development.
