The Panther Group is seeking skilled Test Technician II professionals to join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Austin, TX. If you have experience testing and troubleshooting printed circuit boards (PCBs), enjoy working with electronic assemblies, and want to be part of a team supporting cutting-edge technology, we'd love to hear from you!

This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity with overtime available and the chance to gain valuable experience supporting one of the industry's premier defense organizations.
What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate electronic test equipment to test production assemblies and circuit boards.
  • Perform functional testing and troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and modify electronic assemblies as required.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and replace or repair components.
  • Utilize oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, RF analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Assemble, inspect, and verify products meet quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision measuring devices.
  • Document test results and communicate findings with engineering and production teams.
  • Follow quality procedures, safety standards, and manufacturing documentation.
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience testing and troubleshooting printed circuit boards (PCBs) or electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, RF analyzers, or similar electronic test equipment.
  • Hand soldering experience.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Must be eligible to become solder certified.
Preferred
  • IPC-A-610 Certification.
  • J-STD certification (Modules 1, 3, and 6 preferred).
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with statistical process control and quality inspection procedures.
Pay up to $29.23 per hour DOE
