PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Technician in Niagara Falls, NY for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Test Technician will support testing and final validation of accelerometer products in a mission-critical production environment. This role includes preparing test documentation, setting up test fixtures, performing rate table and vibration testing, troubleshooting issues, and preparing products for final inspection and delivery. The ideal candidate has test technician experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with engineering and production teams.

Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous test experience or equivalent education.

3 years of test technician experience preferred by the manager.

Must be a U.S. person.

Ability to prepare accurate test documentation and maintain detailed daily process logs.

Ability to document faults, anomalies, and test-related issues.

Ability to collaborate with electrical engineering and production teams on testing, troubleshooting, and planning.

Ability to perform production-related tasks during testing downtime.

Preferred Skills

IPC J-STD-001 certification.

Technical degree in an electronics-related curriculum.

Work experience in production, test, or related fields.

Electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting experience.

Computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.

Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge and ESD mitigation principles.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a standard digital multimeter.

Strong initiative, accountability, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.

What You’ll Do

Prepare documentation and set up fixtures for accelerometer testing.

Initiate and maintain test operations from start to completion.

Perform rate table and vibration-related testing.

Conduct final product testing using customer equipment before delivery.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams on testing strategies and troubleshooting.

Disassemble products from test fixtures, clean components, and finalize products.

Gather and validate paperwork and database routing for final inspection.

Support other production-related tasks as needed.

Pay

$24.00 per hour
