Test Technician

Our client, an industry leader in mainframe technology, is seeking a dedicated Test Technician to join their team. As a Test Technician, you will be an essential part of the industrial department supporting the testing and troubleshooting of mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Test Technician

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $21

Shift: Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Test completed mainframes after assembly to ensure functionality
• Hook up mainframes to power sources and connect to test PCs
• Monitor test results and identify any failures or issues
• Perform repairs such as cable, box, or node replacements to restore system operation
• Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures and results

What's Needed?

• Good computer skills and familiarity with IT or technical environments
• 2-year degree or above in technical, computer, or related hands-on experience
• Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work on-site in Poughkeepsie, NY
