Pay Rate: $43.00 - $46.00
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract Duration: 6 month contract
Overview of the Job
The Quality Management (QM) Test Analyst supports and executes User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for the Connecticut Child Support Modernization project. Responsible for ensuring the modernized system aligns with business, operational, and federal requirements, this role drives test scenario development, end-to-end execution, defect tracking, and validation. Working closely with Child Support program staff, business SMEs, vendors, and technical leads, the QM Test Analyst ensures system quality, compliance, and operational readiness through all testing phases, production rollout, and post-go-live stabilization.
Primary Responsibilities
• Execute end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across all Child Support operational modules and core business functions.
• Develop comprehensive UAT scenarios, detailed test cases, and test data derived from business process workflows, functional specs, and federal mandates.
• Perform thorough functional, regression, integration, and validation testing to ensure business readiness.
• Accurately record test results, document business process gaps, and log clear, reproducible defect reports in tracking platforms.
• Participate in defect triage sessions, validate developer fixes, conduct retesting, and verify production release readiness.
• Validate system compliance against state Child Support policies, operational workflows, and federal regulations.
• Track and report testing status, metrics, defect trends, and readiness artifacts to project leadership and Quality Management teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, external solution vendors, and business teams to expedite problem resolution.
• Support statewide implementation, production validation, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Domain Experience: Direct hands-on experience executing UAT for a state Child Support Modernization system implementation.
• Child Support Expertise: Deep knowledge of Child Support case management operations, enforcement workflows, policies, and program processes.
• Testing & Defect Management: Proven mastery in creating and executing detailed test scripts, identifying subtle functional defects, and validating system logic.
• Exceptional investigative, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams, vendors, and program SMEs.
• Strict adherence to state IT security standards, policies, and data privacy protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
• Direct experience working with state Child Support staff, SMEs, and Quality Assurance/Management teams.
• Familiarity with federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) regulations and reporting frameworks.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Xray, HP ALM, Azure DevOps).
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-vendor state or federal government software deployments.
• Familiarity with requirements traceability, quality metrics, or the ProTech Child Support system.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Progressive experience in Quality Assurance, UAT execution, or systems testing within government/child support enterprise applications required.
