Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Tester Senior for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA/Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, validating data modeling workflows, identifying defects, and driving automation strategies to improve data quality and release readiness.

Rate Range: $55/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Tester Senior Job Responsibilities include:

• Conduct independent assessments of data modeling processes, workflows, and supporting technology ecosystems to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.

• Develop, execute, and document manual test plans and test cases for data modeling, metadata management, version control, and deployment workflows.

• Perform validation of logical and physical data models, ensuring compliance with data standards, naming conventions, referential integrity, and governance requirements.

• Analyze test results, track defects, provide remediation recommendations, support defect triage, retesting, and release readiness activities.

• Define testing strategies and automation roadmaps, identifying opportunities for automated quality checks, regression testing, and CI/CD quality gates.

• Collaborate with data modelers, data engineers, governance teams, and business stakeholders to improve data quality, consistency, compliance, and overall testing effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or a related technical field.

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Quality Assurance, or related roles with a strong testing focus.

• Hands-on experience with testing and automation frameworks, including manual and automated testing of data modeling, metadata, and enterprise data workflows.

• Strong expertise in logical data modeling, SQL, Python or Java development, advanced Excel, and data governance standards; experience with CI/CD and data quality automation tools is highly preferred.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
