Position: Tester with Ruby Development skill set. Work Location: Renton (Seattle), WA Pay rate on Corp to Corp: DOE Duration: 6 months+.
Description of the Requirements for this Job (Knowledge, Skill, Education and Experience) Essential: A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience, 5+years Development experience with at least 2 years in Ruby Application Development, Solid understanding of object-oriented programming using Ruby, Experience in JRuby, JSON, Skills for writing reusable Ruby libraries that may be used in expressive ways, Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems., Experience working with offshore resources, Experience with both external and embedded databases, Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests, Strong debugging and problem solving skills, Experience in Configuration Management Tools like Subversion, Familiarity with continuous integration, Understanding technical specifications, Strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills., Experience interfacing with customers on previous projects, Able to successfully communicate technical concepts and information to the Team.
Desirable: Previous experience with agile development methodologies. Agile SCRUM experience, Agile LEAN experience, Experience in Messaging Protocols Development, Working knowledge of Rally Tool, Working knowledge of Python, Must have created automation scripts for Linux based applications., Previous experience with setting up Test Automation Platforms., Experience in Cucumber automation Framework.
