Testing Center Proctor Requisition ID: 2026-10484 # of Openings: 2 Location: US-UT-Price Category: Student Programs and Services Position Type: Non-benefited (hourly) Part-Time Job Classification: Non-Benefited College: Quinney College of Agric and Nat Res Department: Technology Design and Technical Educ Advertised Salary: $12.50 per hour Overview The USU Eastern Campus in Price is accepting applications for a Testing Center Proctor. This position will be paid an hourly wage and is non-benefited. The successful applicant must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work evening and/or late night hours (until 8:30 pm). Under direct supervision, the proctor will assist the Testing Coordinator in the day-to-day operations, coordination, and management of the Testing Center, including proctoring exams and quizzes. Must have the ability to work without immediate supervision and must be able to multitask while having the knowledge needed to give many exams. All Holidays off and reduced hours between semesters. The job entails interacting with students, faculty and community members with all aspects of the testing process. Attention to detail is a must. Responsibilities * Maintains the security of exams and records and provides students with a quiet, non-stressful atmosphere to take exams. * Acts as a liaison between students, Instructors, and University Administrators. * Assists with telephone calls, inquiries, files, appointments, and data entry. * Ability to work a flexible schedule. * Light cleaning and disinfecting will be required. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED equivalent. * Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications. Preferred Qualifications: * Preference will be given to candidate with experience or a college education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Ability to keep student records and test scores confidential. * Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing. * Strong organizational skills. * Attention to detail. * Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple projects. * Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments. * Excellent interpersonal abilities. * Cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings. * Team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and co-workers. * Productive worker with solid work ethic who exerts effort in successfully completing tasks. * Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success. * Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision. * Willingness to learn new skills or techniques.
