OmniOn Power is seeking an entry level electronic technician to perform prototype assembly, validation testing of electronic power supplies and DC power systems for telecom applications and data centers. The technician role consists of prototype assembly and executing a comprehensive list of thermal tests and documenting the results.Responsibilities Interpret engineering assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and block diagramsAssemble prototype DC power systems used in telecom and datacenter applicationsWire AC and DC power cables, assemble busbars, and circuit breaker panelsApply thermocouples to critical components for thermal measurementsSetup data acquisition instruments, variacs and resistive load banksPerform thermal testing of 5kW to 400kW AC/DC power systemsExecute detailed test plans to validate component stress conditionsDocument all test results in accordance with standard product safety formatsAssist engineering teams to interpret and duplicate non‑compliancesMaintain lab testing and calibration standards per ISO requirementsFollow all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements such as LOTOAbility to lift 40‑pound components and assemble 750KCMIL cablesQualifications Associate's Degree (2‑year) in Electronics OR 2 years of study in an accredited engineering program OR 2 years of relevant engineering/technical work experienceKnowledge of thermal measurement techniquesAbility to interpret technical requirements as they apply to power systems to determine whether documented requirements and standards are metWorking knowledge of AC sources, electronics loads and thermal chambersExperience with Microsoft MACROs, Visual Basic and other lab automation softwareAbility to efficiently manage time and coordinate priorities with multiple engineersStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft EXCEL and WORDEligibility OmniOn Power will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
