Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College Testing Specialist Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a full-time opening for the position of Testing Specialist - P01531 with Testing Services. What You'll Do The Testing Specialist is a member of the Testing Center and will report to the Testing Coordinator. The Testing Specialist's primary responsibilities include, but is not limited to: Administers classroom tests, exit exams, PERT, and other tests as administered by TSC Assists with Accommodated Testing as needed Answers incoming calls; responds to inquiries via e-mail; provides front desk check-in services; schedules test appointments; maintains student test records; maintains student port information related to student testing and accommodations. Compiles data reports for test administration and acts as technical support liaison to students and troubleshoots computer issues. Adheres to opening and closing procedures; participates in cross-training activities; updates Testing Center website for Testing information. Who We're Looking For We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have: A high school diploma or equivalent, and three (3) years of secretarial and/or clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of National College Testing Association standards and guidelines. Knowledge of filing systems. Knowledge of grammar and usage of the English language. Knowledge of portal technologies (i.e. SharePoint). Proficient in effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient in human relations and interpersonal communication skills. Skilled in the use of a personal computer, internet, email, voicemail, scheduling software and multi-line phone system. Ability to use excellent time management skills. Ability to manage numerous tasks with multiple interruptions. Ability to comprehend complex testing instructions and administer exams in accordance with instructions. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. Ability to file, organize and retrieve computerized and paper records Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports. Ability to observe confidentiality and handle confidential information/documents. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; pleasant disposition. Ability to work with diverse people and in diverse situations. Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
