About Our Internship Program

As an intern at ITW Global Tire Repair, youll gain hands-on experience with our global brands through a project-based program that combines learning with real-world impact. Along the way, youll take on daily tasks that help you see how your team drives success, work with fellow interns on a community impact project, and wrap up the program by sharing your experience with division leadership.

Position Summary

ITW Global Tire Repair is seeking a Testing & Validation Intern. This role will focus on projects that support key product testing initiatives, ensuring our products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. In this role, youll gain hands-on experience working alongside our R&D team and collaborating across departments.

Overview of Project Tasks

  • Complete structured testing on a range of products, including tire sealants, aerosols, inflators, pneumatic devices, and repair accessories
  • Document test results clearly and accurately in standardized reports
  • Analyze test data to identify performance trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Deliver a final summary presentation outlining findings, insights, and recommended next steps

Qualifications

  • Junior or senior pursuing a Bachelors degree in a technical field (Engineering, Materials Science, or related)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong technical aptitude; familiarity with 3D design tools is a plus

Additional Information

This is a temporary position (Summer 2026), working approximately 1520 hours per week in our San Luis Obispo, CA office.

Compensation Information:

Compensation Pay Range: $22$28 per hour, depending on experience.
