Job Description

Textile Shade Systems Fabrication Technologist

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Friday off; overtime when needed.

Imagine this

You’re given a set of drawings and a stack of premium textiles—Sunbrella, PVC, acrylic, coated fabrics. You translate measurements into precise cuts, stitch with industrial machines for strength and longevity, add finishing hardware, and partner with teammates to build out aluminum and steel frames. By day’s end, you’ve tensioned fabric to perfection, verified smooth operation of moving elements, and packaged a complete kit for field installation. That’s the rhythm here—craftsmanship with real-world impact.

What you’ll tackle

  • Measure, cut, and prepare fabric per project specifications
  • Sew, hem, reinforce, and assemble using industrial sewing equipment
  • Install grommets, zippers, keder, valances, and other finishes
  • Assist in assembling aluminum and steel framework systems
  • Stretch and secure fabric onto frames to a tight, professional standard
  • Inspect finished goods for quality and fit; test moving components
  • Prepare hardware, brackets, and installation kits for field crews
  • Support field measurements or complex installation projects as needed

Preferred

  • Industrial sewing experience
  • Background with awning, marine, upholstery, canvas, vinyl, or shade products
  • Knowledge of materials such as Sunbrella, PVC, acrylic, and coated fabrics

How you work

  • Exacting attention to detail
  • “Measure twice, cut once” discipline
  • Ownership and pride in high-quality outcomes
  • Dependable, team-first mindset

Physical requirements

  • Manipulate large fabric rolls and fabricated components
  • Stand for long periods
