Job Title: TGCM Technician
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 1+ Year Contract
All Shifts available - 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Start and end times will be discussed during the interview process. Pay ranges: 27.50 - 33.00/hr, W 2 based on experience. Client will start worker on first shift.
Summary:
Perform minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas and chemical related equipment.
Conduct daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs.
Make initial evaluations and obtain proper assistance for problem situations.
Satisfactorily complete TGCM Tech Level 6 local OJT minimum requirements within 12 months in job grade.
Participate in company programs including Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance.
Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards such as PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, and Confined Space Entry.
Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure.
Perform minor analytical and/or sampling procedures.
Accountable for the safety of all persons and the general public surrounding facilities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the proper transfer of materials to the dock hazardous waste storage area.
Maintain the dock hazardous storage area.
Use appropriate documentation, equipment, and procedures for ensuring proper management of hazardous waste.
Properly label hazardous waste and follow procedures for handling spills/emergencies.
Prepare waste/containers for shipment and operate a forklift.
Support waste minimization programs/activities.
Maintain an understanding of applicable hazardous waste laws.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 2 years of related experience.
Good communication skills and ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment.
Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy.
Self-motivated to learn with electro-mechanical aptitude.
Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules.
Moderate to heavy lifting may be required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field.
Military technical/electronic rating or nuclear field, or equivalent industry experience.
