About the role

Under general direction, this role is responsible for designing and delivering wellness initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyles and enhance overall employee well-being. The Wellness Manager conducts assessments, develops and implements programs, and measures their effectiveness. This role also focuses on promoting the value of wellness, fostering a culture that supports healthy behaviors, and offering opportunities such as physical activity programs, nutrition initiatives, and resources for stress management and mental health.

The Wellness Manager collaborates with internal departments to align wellness strategies with organizational objectives and partners with external vendors to deliver services such as health screenings and coaching programs.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement wellness programs and initiatives that support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of employees.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Partner with other departments, such as HR and Safety, to ensure that wellness programs align with company policies and procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate wellness events, workshops, and training sessions to educate employees on various health and wellness topics.
  • Track and report on key metrics related to the success of wellness programs, including employee participation rates and program impact on health outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in wellness and make recommendations for incorporating new initiatives into the company's programs.
  • Ensure programs comply with applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ADA where applicable)
  • Oversee day-to-day administration of wellness programs
  • Monitor participation rates and track program effectiveness
  • Evaluate outcomes using metrics and reporting tools; adjust programs as needed
  • Promote wellness initiatives through communication campaigns and events
  • Organize activities such as fitness challenges, nutrition programs, mental health support, and stress management workshops
  • Provide tools and resources that support healthy behaviors both at work and remotely
  • Educate employees on available programs and health resources
  • Foster a culture that supports healthy lifestyle choices
  • Continuously improve programs based on feedback and emerging needs
  • Own and design the intranet site to be user friendly and appealing to colleagues.
  • Create and assist with benefit communications

About you

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree and five years of benefits experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential preferred
  • Knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and customer service experience preferred.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $85,425 - $156,613. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, key skills, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the position is also eligible for incentive compensation based on achievements outlined in the compensation plan. Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.  PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
