WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Host is the first and last point of contact for guests, setting the tone for the fine-dining experience through warm hospitality, thoughtful communication, and impeccable organization. This position is responsible for greeting guests and thanking them for their visit, managing reservations and seating flow, and ensuring a seamless, elegant experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate embodies grace, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the restaurant’s elevated standards. You’ll:
Guest Experience & Hospitality
• Greet each guest with warmth, professionalism, and polished etiquette, creating a memorable first impression.
• Escort guests to their tables with poise, ensuring smooth handoff to Servers and Wait Assistants.
• Maintain a gracious and attentive presence at the host stand, anticipating guest needs and offering assistance whenever needed.
• Support guests with special requests, including celebrations, accessibility needs, and personal preferences.
Reservations, Seating & Flow Management
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments using the restaurant’s reservation platform, optimizing table turns while honoring guest expectations.
• Balance walk-ins and reservations to ensure an efficient and elegant dining room flow.
• Communicate effectively with Servers, Management, and the kitchen to ensure pacing aligns with service standards.
• Maintain up-to-date menus, floor plans, server rotations, and event notes.
Communication & Coordination
• Serve as the primary liaison between the front door and the dining room, ensuring all departments are aligned on guest flow and expectations.
• Communicate guest preferences, VIPs, and special occasions to the service team.
• Answering phones, managing inquiries, and responding to online reservation messages with accuracy and courtesy.
• Work closely with Management to accommodate adjustments, guest concerns, and real-time seating strategy.
• Maintain a polished and organized host stand with up-to-date materials and a visually refined presentation.
• Support service as needed by presenting menus, assisting with table resets, or providing light guest service.
• Monitor overall lobby and dining room ambience to uphold fine-dining standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring readiness for upcoming services.

• 2+ year of host or guest-facing hospitality experience in fine-dining or upscale environments.
• Exceptional communication skills with a poised, professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the confidence to manage a busy reservation book.
• A guest-focused mindset and genuine passion for creating elevated hospitality moments.
• Ability to stay calm and polished during high-volume service periods.
• Familiarity with reservation platforms (OpenTable, Resy, etc.) preferred.
• Flexible availability, especially evenings, weekends, and holidays.
