Reporting & Data Model Maintenance - Maintain and enhance existing LookML models, including Views, Explores, and dashboards
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and performance of reporting assets used across the business
- Apply best practices to improve query performance, usability, and scalability
- Triage and resolve data discrepancies or reporting issues in collaboration with Data Engineering
Looker Administration & Operational Support - Own day-to-day administration of the Looker platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and a smooth user experience
- Manage user provisioning, permissions, roles, and access requests
- Monitor system health, identify issues proactively, and resolve breakages quickly
- Respond to user questions and support requests with a strong focus on responsiveness and clarity
- Partner with InfoSecurity and internal teams on audit, access reviews, and compliance-related tasks
- Support or lead recurring training sessions and office hours as needed
Targeted Enhancements & Business Support - Deliver small-to-medium enhancements to support evolving business needs
- Enable self-service by improving documentation, usability, and discoverability of key datasets
- Provide quick-turn solutions to unblock stakeholders while maintaining data integrity
Legacy Cleanup & Optimization - Support ongoing efforts to deprecate legacy Looker content and reduce platform complexity
- Leverage system activity and usage data to identify redundant or low-value assets
- Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics to safely sunset outdated content
Team Enablement & Documentation - Serve as a go-to resource for Looker-related questions across the Analytics team and business users
- Document key processes, models, and decisions to ensure continuity beyond the contract period
- Help establish lightweight best practices to maintain consistency during the transition
