Job Summary: The theater coordinator provides services for the Hering Auditorium, Oehring Memorial Auditorium, and the West Valley High School Performing Arts Center. Operates as "control central" of the building, with direct communication and personal interaction with building rentals staff, technical staff, faculty, students, and outside artists and production crews. Manages inquiries for theater rentals and special events and maintains all scheduling coordination with the school's master calendar.

Starting Salary: Grade 5: $65,806.83 - $90,930.74 DOE

Work Day: 8 hours per day

Work Year: 12 months

Bargaining Unit: Non-Represented

Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):

  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in office management and communication.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and other regulations as they apply to stage management.
  • Knowledge of technical theater operations.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Skill in office management.
  • Effective organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through on several projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to provide oversight to various school district facilities.
  • Ability to administer performance contracts.
  • Because of multiple work locations, must hold a valid State of Alaska driver's license.
