Position Title: Theatre - Adjunct Faculty- Continuous Applicant Pool

Department Chair, Visual & Performing Arts
Job Summary:
Responsible for student instruction and supervision in theater areas in the form of traditional classroom, online/remote modalities or applied theater practice. Faculty will work directly with lead faculty to meet course and program objectives. Responsible for upholding and supporting course and program policies.
Essential Functions:
1. Instructs students in assigned classes. 2. Provides academic guidance and counseling to students in cooperation with Student Services Personnel. 3. Maintains academic standards. 4. Prepares course syllabus and outline. 5. Monitors student progress. 6. Keeps adequate and accurate records. 7. Enters final course grades online.

Other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Department Chair, each Adjunct faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and fiscal requirements inherent in their position.
Job Specifications:
Master of Fine Arts or Arts Degree or higher is required in relevant discipline or subfield; in addition, performing, theater education, and/or design or technical theater experience is required. Bachelor of Fine Arts or BA with 18 or more additional graduate credit hours in their discipline will be considered.
Hiring Range: $61 per contact hour

Adjunct faculty are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College, with a few exceptions based on MSPERS retirement program. All others are employed through Edustaff, LLC.
