In this role, you'll help promote each child's cognitive, social, emotional, adaptive, and developmental growth.Responsibilities:Assist with individualized therapy activities and classroom/lesson preparationSupport group therapy rotationsCollaborate daily with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and social workersHelp maintain a positive, engaging, play-based learning environmentKnowledge and Skills Required:Associate's degree or equivalent college credit (60 credits) required; Bachelor's degree preferredExperience working with children or clients with special needs requiredWorking Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc.Ability to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe.Ability to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company.Ability to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.Ability to utilize keyboard, desktop, and ipad to complete documentation required for funders.The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
