Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $32.06/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Therapeutic Recreational Therapist is primarily responsible for planning, developing, implementing and maintaining a recreational therapy program for the Behavioral Healthcare department. The program will include recreational, occupational and other creative therapies.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Education:

•  Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation therapy

 

Licensure/ Certification:

•  American Heart Association CPR certification within 90 days of hire

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

•  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•  Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 Education:

•  Master’s degree in therapeutic recreation therapy

 

Experience:

•  Previous work experience as a Therapeutic Recreation Therapist

 

Licensure/ Certification:

•  National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
