Job Overview
The Therapist II provides comprehensive clinical assessments, crisis interventions, therapeutic treatment, and discharge planning services for adult psychiatric patients and their families within the specialized Eating Disorders Outpatient program at RWJUH Somerset (SOM). Operating under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, this professional delivers individual, group, and family therapy while ensuring strict regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and utilization management. Additionally, this role actively engages in community outreach, professional associations, and referral marketing activities to expand and support the program's growth.
Qualifications
Required:
Educational Track (One of the following matches):
Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work (MSW).
Master's degree in Counseling from an accredited school.
PhD from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of two (2) years of job-related clinical experience.
Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills (including basic word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications).
Solid foundation in age-specific care guidelines across the lifespan, particularly interpreting data relative to adult psychiatric and eating disorder health requirements.
