Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Practice: Provide comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral assessments and evidence-based therapy for patients pursuing medical and surgical weight management.
- Patient Care: Assess readiness for bariatric treatment, address behavioral and emotional barriers, and support patients through pre- and post-surgical care and long-term weight management.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans.
- Scheduling & Access: Manage patient follow-up and additional appointments within the clinical workflow, in collaboration with the scheduling team, to support timely access to care.
- Cultural Competence: Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that is responsive to the age, cultural diversity, and individual needs of the populations served.

Job Description:
The Therapist III is responsible for making treatment and level of care decisions independently. They collaborate with our multi-disciplinary teams. As an autonomous provider in the outpatient setting, they are individually credentialed with payers to bill for services. A referral is not required to initiate treatment. The Therapist provides individual, family, group therapy and collaborative care as appropriate in the outpatient setting. They complete patient assessments, plan for therapeutic interventions and appropriate follow up care, implementation treatment plans, coordinate the treatment process. Also demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age and cultural diversity of the patients served. What You'll Do:
- Education: Graduate Degree, required. Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of three years experience, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor or Clinic Phd/PsyD level Psychologist, required. For the Substance Use Therapist role, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate with above required license, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire. Team members in strictly remote positions are exempt. Team members working strictly in behavioral health outpatient clinics are exempt from state approved curricula but are required to take NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months of hire, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for Behavioral Health Age Specific populations.
