    About the Role:

    As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups to improve their mental health and overall well-being. You will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client, helping them navigate life transitions, manage emotional challenges, and develop coping strategies. Your work will involve assessing clients' mental health status, creating treatment plans, and facilitating individual or group therapy sessions. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and may also provide crisis intervention during acute episodes. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing clients' quality of life and fostering resilience in the face of behavioral health challenges.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
    • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
    • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse client populations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Specialized training or certification in group therapy, family therapy, or anger management.
    • Experience working with clients undergoing significant life transitions or trauma recovery.
    • Familiarity with evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
    • Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting or community mental health environment.
    • Bilingual abilities or experience working with culturally diverse populations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
    • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based counseling techniques.
    • Facilitate crisis intervention and provide immediate support during mental health emergencies.
    • Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic approaches as necessary to achieve treatment goals.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate care.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
    • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping mechanisms.
    • Stay current with developments in psychotherapy and behavioral health through ongoing professional development.

    Skills:

    The required skills such as Counseling Psychology, Group Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling are essential for conducting effective therapeutic sessions and developing treatment plans tailored to client needs. Family Therapy and Psychotherapy skills enable the therapist to address complex relational dynamics and individual psychological challenges. Crisis Intervention and Anger Management skills are critical for providing immediate support and de-escalation during emergencies. Life Transitions and Behavioral Health expertise allow the therapist to guide clients through significant changes and promote long-term mental wellness. Preferred skills like specialized certifications and cultural competence enhance the therapist's ability to deliver nuanced care and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
