Title: Therapy/Rehabilitation – Occupational Therapist (OT) Pediatrics
Location: Willmar, MN
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8-Hour (Mon–Fri)
Provide Occupational Therapy services primarily to pediatric outpatient population with occasional adult inpatient coverage
Perform comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care based on assessment findings
Conduct developmental testing and therapeutic interventions
Treat diagnoses including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, learning disabilities, neurological and orthopedic conditions
Provide feeding therapy and swallowing interventions as indicated
Implement sensory integration techniques and sensory-based interventions
Address handwriting, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), visual perceptual, and cognitive deficits
Provide acute care interventions for adult inpatient population as needed
Perform functional mobility training, lifting, and transfer training
Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and injury prevention
Complete accurate documentation including evaluations, reassessments, discharge summaries, and billing
Perform fall/risk assessments and follow National Patient Safety Goals
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care
Float between outpatient clinic and hospital setting as needed
Minimum 1 year of OT experience preferred
New graduates considered with pediatric experience as a COTA
Strong pediatric outpatient experience required
Experience in acute care and outpatient clinical settings
Experience with developmental testing and treatment
Competency in managing acute and chronic disorders
Experience treating pediatric developmental disorders including Autism
Ability to treat patients across the lifespan (Pediatrics through Geriatrics)
Strong assessment, reassessment, discharge planning, and documentation skills
Experience with billing and compliance standards
Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety protocols
Must reside greater than 25 miles from facility (non-local requirement)
BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
