Job Opportunity in Crescent City, CA

We are seeking a full-time physical therapist to join our team in a hospital setting with a focus on acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient rehab. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in Crescent City, CA, known for its beautiful coastal views and welcoming community. The work schedule is Friday through Tuesday with the ability to float between inpatient, acute rehabilitation unit, and outpatient settings as needed.

Required Certifications

  • CA Physical Therapist License
  • BLS Certification

Job Duties

  • Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, and increase strength.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • Provide clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and implement individualized physical treatment programs.
  • Complete and document patient evaluations and tests per established standards.
  • Develop and update the patient’s Plan of Care (POC) based on data and diagnosis.
  • Coordinate patient care effectively and efficiently with other team members.
  • Provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides and serve as a clinical instructor for students.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment.
  • Maintain strictest confidence of all patient Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Comply with state and federal regulations and complete mandated continuing education requirements.

Education

Graduate of an accredited physical therapy graduate program.
