At Stellantis, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with people who exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit and work together as a team to continually think bigger and bolder.Stellantis is currently seeking a Thermal and Engine Performance Simulation Engineer who will work closely with engine design release and development groups, suppliers and other functional groups, using CAE analyses to proactively guide the designs to:ResponsibilitiesMeet engine design targets and timingBuild mathematical models to best simulate the engine combustion, thermal, lubrication and performance to guide engine systems designsUse simulations to improve engine thermal efficiency and reduce lubrication system friction lossesPerform several what-if analysis to understand the physics of various Vehicle-Powertrain sub-system interactions during transient operating conditions to improve extreme ambient fuel economyUse 1D CFD codes to perform analysesBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or related degree in EngineeringMinimum 5 years of experience with 1D modeling of Engine performance and combustion, Lubrication/hydraulics system of engine and transmission and 1D thermal modeling of engine systemsDemonstrated excellence in applying advanced 1D CFD tools to IC engine combustion simulation and optimizationStrong analytical and technical background in engine performance data, fluid flow, heat transfer and numerical methods.Thorough knowledge of commercial codes such as GT-Suite, Wave and AVL BoostGeneral knowledge of commercial CAD packages including NX and Teamcenter and CatiaMust be capable of managing multiple on-going projectsMust be capable of working independently and in teamsDemonstrated problem solving and leadership skillsCandidate must have excellent written / oral communication and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsMaster Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics or chemistry (combustion area)Familiar with engine calibration, engine control and its influence on engine combustion and performance optimization is plusExperience in CFD-3D fieldDocumented history of advancing the state of the art in some area of modeling, simulation, optimization of IC engine combustionGood skill in programmingHigh proactivity and problem solving attitude#J-18808-Ljbffr
