Step into a day running the heart of our thermal processing operation
As a Thermal Processing Technician, you’ll move parts from clean to complete. Your shift begins by confirming parts are ultrasonically cleaned, dried, and ready. You’ll set furnaces to exact operation-sheet parameters, load work, and monitor and verify heat-treat charts. Between cycles, you’ll record calibration checks, update quality records, and keep the production schedule on track. You’ll also execute finishing processes—airflow, waterflow, and shot peen—then perform visually intensive inspections before parts continue downstream.
What you will do
Operate heat-treat furnaces and the ultrasonic degreaser; ensure parts are cleaned and fully dried before loading.
Configure and run furnaces precisely to operation-sheet requirements; verify and sign off heat-treat charts.
Execute the heat-treat production schedule and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
Perform certified special processes including shot peen, airflow, and waterflow; set up and run each per spec.
Inspect materials to operation-sheet criteria; conduct high-attention visual inspections.
Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with Quality Engineering or Special Processes Engineering as needed.
Maintain complete quality records, including calibration checks and serial number entries in the heat-treat database.
