Step into the coating cell and shape flight‑critical performance
From your first week, you’ll be hands-on with Air Plasma Spray systems, iterating programs, tuning parameters, and collaborating with production teams to turn complex aerospace and gas turbine requirements into stable, repeatable coating outcomes. Based onsite in Carson City, NV, you’ll help manufacture and repair critical components that power aircraft and industrial gas turbines.
Your impact
- Own and optimize Air Plasma Spray (APS) and other thermal spray processes from development through production.
- Author, refine, and maintain coating programs, tooling concepts, and process parameters for quality, throughput, and cost.
- Program and support robotic coating cells; experience with FANUC is a strong plus.
- Troubleshoot coating quality, equipment, and manufacturing issues at the source and implement durable corrections.
- Lead equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects using Lean principles.
- Qualify processes and support New Product Introduction (NPI) for aerospace and turbine hardware.
- Analyze process capability and performance data to drive sustainable improvements.
- Prepare procedures, specifications, technical reports, and documentation that meet customer and regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, operations, and peer engineering teams.
Tools and metrology you’ll leverage
- Air Plasma Spray (APS) systems and other thermal spray equipment.
- Robotic coating systems (FANUC preferred).
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), laser and white‑light scanning, and precision gages.
What you’ll bring
- BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Metallurgical, or related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years in manufacturing or process engineering with direct exposure to coating technologies.
- Familiarity with thermal spray (APS, HVOF, or similar) highly preferred.
- Background in aerospace, aircraft engines, industrial gas turbines, or similar environments is a plus.
- Robotic programming experience (FANUC preferred) and comfort working on the production floor.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Beneficial extras: metallurgy, 3D CAD, FEA, and continuous improvement/Lean experience.

Compensation and location
Compensation: $81,680–$107,205 annually
Location: Carson City, Nevada — Onsite
