Imagine This Scenario
A production line is scheduled to run a new job. You verify set points, load the correct materials, and bring the system up. Parts roll off the line—your trained eye checks dimensions and finish. A minor variance appears; you adjust, document the cause, and the run stays on target. Later, maintenance completes a repair; you restart, confirm stability, and capture final data before closing the order. That’s a win.
What You’ll Tackle
- Safety first—follow all company policies and safe work practices.
- Start up machinery and validate machine set points.
- Operate and monitor: extrusion blow mold, extrusion machines, injection blow mold, injection mold, plus labeling, pad printing, and silk-screen stations.
- Clean filters, perform minor maintenance, and manage purges to keep processes stable.
- Verify sleeves, boxes, labels, and raw materials by part number for every run.
- Maintain M.O. Weight and Process Check Sheets to control the process.
- Run in-process inspections; compare samples against specifications and adjust as needed.
- Troubleshoot line issues; escalate repairs to a supervisor; restart after maintenance.
- Capture issues, root causes, and corrective actions; record production and quality data (manual/data collector) and close the run.
- Keep your cell clean and organized; uphold housekeeping standards.
- Train and support Technician Operators; provide break and lunch coverage.
- Contribute to other assignments and special projects.
What Sets You Up for Success
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background operating plastic molding equipment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of plastics manufacturing and related machinery.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical familiarity with packaging, plastics, and printing equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Fine motor skills and strong attention to detail.
- Thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and clear communication skills.
Compensation & Growth
- Full-time, direct hire
- Starting pay: $18/hr plus shift differential pay
