At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are currently seeking aThin Film Technicianwho will operate coating chamber systems to produce coated optical components.Main responsibilitiesUnderstands and promotes a safe environment.Sets up tooling installs spacerstooling as needed help assembles backers knows how to locate tooling.Loadunload parts into chambers as needed.Understands chemicals that are used throughout the lab and how to dispose of them.Foils chambersChanges targetsPerforms basic spectrophotometer scans of optical componentsPerforms regensBead blasts toolingStarts coating runsKnows the chamber status of their areaCan perform simple crystal error recoveriesPerforms and supports 6S activities as directed.Knows chamber cleanliness and how it affects quality.Works effectively within teamsOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Typically has a minimum of 3 year optics experience or related industry experience and has demonstrated tech 2 expectations since last review.Needs to be proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.Needs to have a knowledge base of Excel and other various Microsoft Office products.Previous work experience in a process manufacturing environment is desired but not required.Lifting requirements up to 50lbsPay Range 22.00 - 26.00 per hour depending on experience.Our facility in Boulder Colorado has key functions in Research and Development Operations Production and other disciplines.
