AmeriCorps members serving in the Older Adult Volunteer Corps (OAVC) will recruit, train, and support older adults who volunteer with CMAP and other community organizations. They will focus on volunteer engagement through outreach, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing support to ensure a meaningful and impactful experience for every volunteer. Members will also coordinate recognition efforts to celebrate volunteer contributions. In addition, they will build partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and service organizations to identify and develop new volunteer opportunities that align with older adults' skills and interests. Their service strengthens community connections and promotes purposeful aging through civic engagement.
