Position Overview:
The Threshold Engineer serves as a technical resource throughout project lifecycles and collaborates closely with teammates, clients, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the qualifier for threshold inspection services on commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Adhere to and institute quality assurance procedures, conduct field observations, site visits, and structural assessments during the building construction phases.
- Provide guidance to the duly authorized representatives via training and oversee their work
- Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with approved plans specifications applicable, building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and construction documents.
- Identify construction deficiencies, non-conforminh work, and potential safety concerns
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, inspection documentation, and corrective action recommendations.
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, architects, and owners to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure projects comply with local, state and federal regulations, including Threshold Building Inspectio Requirements
- Maintain accurate projecst records and inspection logs.
- Participate in project meetings, and provide technical guidance to stakeholders

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in structural engineering and project delivery.
- Active PE license required.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Expertise in structural analysis software, BIM/CAD platforms, and building materials
- Deep understanding of local, state, and national building codes and design standards
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to lead cross-functional project teams.
- Proven ability to manage complexity, mentor others, and deliver technically sound solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Special Inspector (S.I.) qualifications or ability to obtain it within one year
Travel Requirements:
This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.

- This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
- The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
