Season begin date: September 2026

Season end date: Approximately May 2027

RATE OF PAY: $18.88 - 21.52/hour (DOE)

HOURS: Approximately 200 hours/year (includes about 70 extra-curricular events throughout the year)

Total weekly hours may not exceed 40 hours per week.

Location: Kalama Middle/High Gym and Stadium

Benefits: This position is not eligible for health or retirement benefits

Reports to: Athletic Director

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The applicant will be responsible for greeting guests courteously and professionally
  • Arrive approximately one hour before the event start time
  • Ensure all tickets are valid and correspond to the correct date and event
  • Protect ticket integrity
  • Ability to accurately reconcile cash transactions & use electronic card readers
  • Professionally collaborate with all event staff
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently during high-volume situations

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must pass a State and Federal background check

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully to administration, staff, students and parents.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Skills in reading, understanding and following safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with students and staff.
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of District requirements and Board policies
  • Ability to work independently and to communicate proactively

If you are hired for this position, you will be required to complete a background check, unless you have completed the background check in the past two years, and it is on file with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
