Tier 1 Deployment Support Technician

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a hands-on Deployment Support Technician to join a high-volume laptop staging and deployment project supporting a company acquisition. You'll be part of a team responsible for imaging, configuring, and preparing approximately 2,500 laptops for rollout.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Unbox, inventory, and asset-tag laptops in preparation for staging
• Image devices using established deployment tools (SCCM, Intune, or similar MDM/imaging platforms)
• Apply standard OS builds, software packages, and configuration profiles per deployment runbook
• Perform quality checks to confirm each device meets acceptance criteria before shipping or distribution
• Label, package, and organize completed devices for deployment logistics
• Accurately log completed units and flag exceptions or failures to the lead technician
• Maintain a clean, organized staging workspace and adhere to throughput targets
• Communicate clearly with team leads on status, blockers, and daily progress

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of hands-on IT support or hardware deployment experience
• Familiarity with Windows OS imaging and endpoint configuration
• Experience with deployment tools such as SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, or similar
• Ability to work methodically and maintain accuracy while handling high device volumes
• Comfortable following documented runbooks and escalating when something falls outside the process
• Strong attention to detail
• Team-oriented with clear, professional communication
